In 2007, Melges introduced the Melges 20. The philosophy behind it was to create a boat with beautiful lines while simultaneously delivering a sophisticated yet simple sailing experience. It is an-exclusive Reichel/Pugh design manufactured by Melges USA. It was designed to have a strong appeal to a full range of talents and skill levels. It is very simple to sail, easy to rig, and ultra-modern in every respect. The hull design is sleek and comfortable with large radius edges. A sexy, sharp bow delivers maximum upwind performance. The stable, flat aft, and asymmetrical spinnaker gives way to an exhilarating, fast, and fun planning experience.
